The Power of Video
Welcome!
Welcome to Mr. Hammerstrom's Video production pages!

Here, you'll find everything you need (hopefully) to learn about producing videos for Mr. H's video class.

Student will
• Explore the use of internet video for educational purposes through course readings and independent study of Youtube.com, Teachertube.com and Schooltube.com.
• Learn about and create an INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO.
• videotape an INTRODUCTION TO THEIR CLASS and upload it to Teachertube.com or Schooltube.com.
• videotape a BRIEF LESSON for their class and upload it to Teachertube.com or Schooltube.com.
• write a brief NEWS STORY and upload it to teachertube.com or Schooltube.com.

Expectations of students
• Respect the equipment. We will be using thousands of dollars worth of equipment; be careful with it. Never leave the room unattended. Video equipment is portable; it can walk away. If all members of the class are out of the room, the door must be closed and locked.
• Only use cameras and computers as you have been instructed. Laptops will stay in the classroom and plugged into the network cables unless stated otherwise by Mr. H.
• Students will sign the syllabus and talent release form as a course requirement.
• Students will think “outside the box” and be creative and self-motivated. They will problem solve, with guidance.
• Students will not violate copyright laws.
• Students will use cameras ethically.
